All,
We have a problem with a NetWare v5.1 SP4 Server that requires a complete server restore from an ARCServe 7 backup tape. What is the best procedure for us to follow to achieve this successfully ? Are there any TID's explaining the process ? (looked but couldn't find anything).

A couple of questions Steve. 1. Did you do an ArcServe Disaster Recovery type backup?
If you did a DR Backup then #2 does not need to be answered.
2. Did you get a backup of your NDS?

1. Not sure.
2. The backup covers SYS, VOL1 and the ARCServe database in tis entirety.
Hopefully we won't need to do this, but and instructions on how to go about it just in case is veery welcome.
Thanks.
Steve.

There's no need for us to do this now. Finally solved the problem (Pervasive SQL *.cfg file lock).
Thanks Again

Always nice to know a problem comes out OK. Glad you got it fixed. What I was going to lead you through was not a 100% guaranteed. I would make a suggestion, do an ArcServe Disaster Recovery type backup, and do a backup of your NDS. If you have these two then restoring a Netware Server is a LOT easier and more dependable.
Summary: Hi! I have enabled auditing on my NW5.1 server via AuditCon. Searching auditfiles is quite cumbersome with the Auditcon. I make a Audit report (.txt file) and try to handle it with Excel. The problem ...
