NW 51 slow upload speed

OS: NW51sp8
CPU/Ram: P4, 4GB
Product: Dell PE2800

We have Novell 5.1 sp8 server with Intel CE1000 NIC Card. Enabled TCP/IP and IPX.
Board configured as full duplex = 2, Speed = 100, other kept default. NW Client installed in the client pc with Ver: 4.91 sp1 with IP only.

Noticed that uploading of any files/folders takes long time, but the download from the server is normal. Will appreciate to resolve the issue.

Any AntiVirus Software installed on the server?
If so, maybe it's configured to scan only files, saved on the server but not files loaded from the server, because these files were already scanned.

No AntiVirus Software installed on that server.

If I tested with ipx connection with the server and its worked fine. Only with the IP connection the upload takes long time.

IP connections are a little bit slower than IPX connctions, but not as much.
Have you installed the latest TCP/IP version from the Novell Support web site?

There were several fixes in the tcp/ip module.

Hi Paul,

I able to fix that.

The NIC was mismatched with the port on the switch. Those errors was killing my transfers.

I forced the nic and the switch to fullduplex and its works.
