We run a Netware network and a Windows NT domain. Some computers are not in the domain and rely on dynamic local users to authenticate to local PC.
We are about to implement MS Exchange and would rather not have visit each PC and add the PCs back to the domain. We will be givng each user an NT acct with the same username as their Netware one.
Can a login script command be used to automate domain authentication using a user's NT account without having to add their PC back tothe domain? If so, whats the command?
#NET USE "domain" doesnt seem to work...

Checkout a resource utility called
NETDOM.EXE should do everything you need.In order to use Outlook/Exchange, you're gonna have to authenticate sooner or later..so teach your users to either type in their user name, domain name, and password..
Or do this right..use netdom.exe to add the computers to the domain in a batch file
Then, they log into novell, then pass thru authentication to the NT domain acct logs them in...
One single log in and they can access Exchange without having to log in again....
Just do it right the first time...no headaches for the future... we did 1,800 computers this way. :)
