Good evening,
First off I would like to emphasize my intentions are not to hack nor vandalize whatsoever. I am not a hacker or anything related, a regular computer user that is having problems booting up thus my intention to get to safe mode.Let me first explain you my situation if you will. I am using a computer with the OS Window XP Home. We use something called "Novell". I am assuming this is some sort of service that allows me access to the files/application that I need? If not please correct me on this.
It is imperitive for my to get to safe mode. At the moment my computer crashes daily and for my purposes I must get to safe mode. I don't care about any other programs other than WordPad which is probably on the hard drive, so I don't need Novell.
I have shut the PC, then restarted it pressing F2, and was entered into a settings screen. However there was no option regarding safe mode.
I cancelled out of these settings and pressed F8. I did this because it said "Press F8 to get to boot options". I pressed this and I only see two options, none of which are related to safe boot.
I apologize for the lengthy explaination but any assistance regarding safe mode on 'Novell' is greatly appreciated.
Kind regards,
Kevin

You might want to repost this in the XP section with details to what errors you get when you try to boot normally.
You use of the word "novell" can mean anything. I doubt you have a Novell server at home so why you would have the netware [novell is the company name. netware is the server OS]client is beyond the information you have provided.
What you want, safe mode, is XP and has NOTHING to do with Novell Netware.
Best of luck!

wanderer,
Thankyou very much for your response it is appreciated. As for your question, this may have nothing to do with Novell. I suppose my better question is how I can get to safe mode on a Dell computer Windows XP Home Edition?
