Comment: Hi, I am trying to log in to Novell 5 with a wireless-G linksys setup. However, it appears that the Novell login requires a username and password before the wireless link is activated, meaning that the only way to log in is with the system specific login name and password, and connecting remotely with a sever-wide username/pw is impossible until you get into the system. Is there any way to have the wireless link established before the Novell logon screen requires a password, or any other way to solve this problem? Thanks in advance

Reply: (edit)I know what you mean, it can be difficult. Just a couple of questions 1st. What OS(s) are the wireless workstations running? And, is the login required for system access (securing the workstation to authorized users only) or only to connect to Novell for file/print access (and it doesn't matter who can use the computer) If you are running windows, and aren't requiring the users to login before getting into windows then the solution is easy. Set the primary net login to the Windows Family Login. This will cause the system to boot without asking for a NW login. Once the wireless software is loaded, the users can right click on the Novell "N" in the system tray and select login to gain access to NetWare services. I hope this helps, Ruscal
