Novell Password Issue - Need Help!

I have a 2000 Dell Laptop that has Novell on it. When I turn the laptop on, the first logon screen that appears is the Novell screen. This is an old work laptop, so I am not sure if I have to be on the network in order to just get into the computer.
I do not have to get onto the Network at all. I just want to use the basic functions of the computer.
Undfortunatelyu, I think my password expired, or something, because no matter what I try, I cannot gain access to my computer.
Is there any way to get around this? Any way I can get in through the setup option in DOS?

Also make sure you check the box that says workstation only, then put in your usernam and password. It is looking for your local workstation id and password. You might have to contact your works IT dept to get correct pw. Also you could uninstall the Novell Client.
