Novell Netware 3.12 File Sharing

HELP PLEASE!!! I am running a Novell 3.12 server, and using the netware 'FLAG' command to share various DOS database (CA-Superdb) files. All works OK with Windows 98, but with XP Pro workstations, loading a file locks it, preventing others from reading it, even though the netware file flags are set at SRW (shareable read/write). MAJOR PROBLEM AS JUST REPLACED ALL WORKSTATIONS WITH XP PRO MACHINES. Weird thing is that if a 98 machine loads the file first, the XP machine will share it, but if the XP machine loads the file first, no other machine can read it.

no solution that I know of. This is a common issue concerning old database programs that are really only single user databases.

OK, thanks. I am guessing that you found no solution, and maybe I should admit defeat. Going to try installing 98 as I know that works (hope).
