Hi.

This is actually a relative small problem and I think I know how to fix it, the brutal way. But it would be interesting to know if you Novell guys know of a smoother way to fix it.

When I enter my password at the login screen, I get access denied. Then I enter it again and then I´m logged on. I promise you that I don´t press any keys wrong (I´ve tried it several times).

Now, to reinstall the Novell client probably fixes my problem, but it sure would be interesting to know if there is a less brutal way to fix it.

Thx in advance

/Christian

You have not described your environment.
It would help if you quote the netware version, client version, Zen etc....

You may have "Contextless Logins" enabled, in which case typing in your password without first over-typing your username can cause these symptoms. This type of login requires you to hit tab after your username to prompt the login process to look up your context automatically.

Another possibility is that the default user profile may have a leading space. Check that if the login requester already displays your username, it does not include a leading space. If so, go to the client properties and edit the default location profile.
