I just reformatted a computer and installed Windows 95 on it. I then installed Novell Client to get the computer on the network.

For some reason the login screen is not showing up when I startup the computer. I get in Network Neighborhood properties, Primary Network Logon and it is set to the Novell Client.

Can anyone help me? Thanks.

Yes. I checked the protocols and the adapter before I reformatted the computer and made sure to set it up the same way after I formatted.

For some reason, the Novell Login screen will not come up when I startup the computer. Since I have everything the same, I am really clueless to what is wrong.

Thanks for the help.

Do you also have the Client for Microsoft Networks installed?

If you browse thru Network Neighborhood - can you see Novell servers and then log into them that way? Or is there nothing there?

Also - what sort of NIC and what is it plugged into (switch/hub - type)?

I have seen this happen when the NIC cant get a connection.

make sure the cable is pluged in and check your connections, then check your protocols
"yawn",check the server, hub and novell bla bla then kick the novel server real hard.
that should do it.

im tired now :)~
goodnight
