Novell login trouble

The solution to my problem could be anything as it is so vague. I can't get past the Novell login screen. I type my user name and pass and hit ok and it disappears like it's about to login, but the login screen pops right back up again with nothing in it. Could it be Novell alone, or some conflict with another program like Windows itself?

Your right! I could be anything. A couple of things to try. One login to the workstation only. Browse out in neighborhood network. Look for other machines hooked up to your network ie MS workgroup machines if you have netbios running. Go to Netware services. Try to access the servers this way. Try to login directly from the desktop by right clicking on the Novell client tray item. Check that you can see the tree and context your logining into. Can you go to a DOS prompt and ping the Novell server that your trying to login to. Check in the control panel, network and then the network card and check that your running the correct frame type 802.3 or 802.2 don't use autosensing for frame type or speed and duplexing (set it to 100-half or 10-half). Autosensing doesn't work all the time. There's lots more that you can try, but this will get you started. Email me if you run into trouble.
