I installed Novell Netware Small Business Intranetware -4.11 on the Server having following configuration !!

Server Configuration :
P-III 800Mhz
- 128MB SDRAM
- 20GB HDD
- Dlink Ethernet card 10Mbps

I format using the Floppy which comes with the package !!
then i install the Netware server which supports the Remote login (RPL).

The Remote Workstation are have following Configuration:
Celeron-600Mhz
- 128Kb Cache
- 64 MB SDRAM
- Dlink Ethernet card 10Mbps with BootRom

The all Remote workstations are diskless !!
The hub used is 16 Port Dlink Hub (10Mbps) !!

I created the Net$dos.sys file and boots from the remote workstation too !!

The problem is that it runs very slow !! while booting and while using the application program which is developed in Foxpro-2.6 Dos !!
It is tremendously slow !!

I have a NW5 network with a simular configuration (DOS based apps, WS, ...) I conclude that you increase packet recieve buffers 3X the number of DOS applications not workstations like the Netware TID's say. I have ~160 users on a switched network and I have my minimum packet recieve buffers set at 1000 (not 3X160) and maximum packet recieve buffers =2000. I don't think you have enought ram for that but increase minimum packet recieve buffers and give it a try. Also check the Novell site for a utility called config9. You run it with all the command options before configuring a bunch of set commands and it put the original values in a txt file in the system dir. Can save you a lot of time if you need to go back to previous settings.

Also a 100mhz switched network needs to be looked into. With layer 2 & 3 switches under $3000 and as low as $1000. It is worth looking into.

You may want to get to FoxPro people too. We have a FoxPro application that actually needed a patch to an NT workstation to slow down the processor while running the app.
