do user rights assinments override group assignments because I have a user that is in several groups with limited privleges to some directories but I wan to make them have full privleges to a certain directory I made it so that they have user full user rights to that directory but those rights don't seem to be taking affect but if I assign the user to the "super group" that has all rights then it works.So do group rights override user rights?

The most restrictive rights assignment wins. Doesn't matter where they are assigned. Give a person a fish, they eat for a day. Suggest they internet search and they learn a skill for a lifetime.
