We have begun using Console One on our network, to replace NW Admin. It runs extremely slow, possibly due to Java. Any suggestions?

Browse to the \\server\sys\PUBLIC\mgmt\ConsoleOne directory
Copy the 1.2 folder to your local hard drive.
On your local hard drive, go into the 1.2/bin directory and create a shortcut on your desktop the consoleone.exe
This is much faster than running it from the server. If you do any schema updates, you will have to re-copy the 1.2 directory back to your local machine, so you have the new snap-ins.

do as above (install to server and then copy the folder to your local workstation to run it) also - make sure you are using version 1.3.3 (unless there is a newer one) it runs a *ton* better than the older ones. You can DL it from Novell.. You will still need NWAdmin for a number of things (so don't rip it out just yet!) but Novell is transitioning more of that functionality to Console 1 and the Portal utilities from what I am seeing.
