Hello!
I have installed the latest novell client 4.81 on a win2k box. Is it possible to set up the novell client to generate a local user on the win2k box (workstation)by using my user id that I have on the novell and with the same password as the novell.
So if a user tries to log on to this pc and there is not a local user id on the box, the novell generate it.
regards Lars
PS! Is Workstation Manager something I could use, and if so, how?

That is exactly what Novell Workstation Manager is for and does...
Go into the Client Properties, put a check mark there to enable it...
Now...log in, then go into the local administrators group for that machine..you'll see the Novell login name you used in the local administrators group.
Should be everything as you describe above.

Well I have done that, but it does not work. It can't log into the box without me entering a legal username and password for the box (workstation). We run ZenWorks, is that a problem?

ZenWorks can be configured to automaticly set up a user and password for the workstation. We use it for roving login purposes.

Set up a ZEN works NT profile then configure it to violate your NT user during logon. That is it! No roaming profile needed for this action.
