Novell Client 4.91 and WinXP PRO

My server is a netware 5.0 and my clients are WinXP pro. Every time that I try to rename a file on a mapped drive I get a message: "Cannot rename file_name: cannot read from source file or disk". I've uninstalled the Novell Client for windows and Installed the Ms. Client for Novell Networks, It works good but when winxp is copying many files stop and send an error message. If I try to copy the same files from a Pc with winxp home edition. It works without problems and If I try to copy the same files from the computer with winxp Pro, this one, works perfectly ( Ms client for novell networks). I want to use the novell client for windows but How can I do, so that WinXP can rename files?

There is a good explanation and probably a fix at: http://support.novell.com/cgi-bin/search/searchtid.cgi?10072943.htm In basic, converting your drive from FAT to NTFS or installing SP2 for XP will solve the problem.

go into Novell Client properties | Advanced Settings and check whether FILE CACHING is set to OFF.

Thank You Paul. I did It and It works (set File cahing = Off). Now I can rename and move files without problems.
