I have some workstations I recently updated their Novell client to 4.90, and now periodically the mapped drives doesn’t connect on login. The users can access GroupWise, but not mapped drive, or the Internet. We have to reboot the machines login several time till the drives will map or I would right click on the Netware Service icon and do a Netware Login it then mapped drive appears. I have checked all of the network settings and reinstalled the client. Any suggestions would be helpful?

Do you know if SLP and DNS is set up correctly on the servers? Sometimes the client can have trouble figuring out the server names if these services aren't configured properly. Also, try waiting a while after the computer starts up before you login. I've seen situations where a particular service hasn't started when the login box appears which prevents login. You wait a little while (usually an hourglass will come up then disappear) and then everything works perfectly. Try using the IP address of the server instead of the server's name in the login script to connect your drives and see what happens. The it works via IP then you have name resolution issues.
