Novell 5 installation hungs

I crate a 200 MB DOS partition and change buffer=30 and files=50 as needed. I boot comuter with Novell 5 CD to start installation. It boot and went through partition selection but got message that is not enough space to install even there is more then 1 GB unpartition space. I start installation and it hung "loading please wait". Do I need to change anything on bios on computer to install it. I had AMD compaq computer and had not problem. Please help!!
