OS: netware 4.11
CPU/Ram: 1 gig
Product: amd 2500
Comment:

I am trying to setup mirroring under Netware 4.11. I have 1 18 gig and 2 36 gig scsi drives. I have created a duplicate DOS partition on one of the 36 gig drives and created a netware partition that exactly duplicate the netware partition on the primary drive.
The starting and ending sectors, partition size and hotswap numbers are all the same.
I enter the install utility and select device 0 {not mirrored). I press INS to to add a partition to device 0. I select device 1 to add to device 0 and it tells me that original partition is larger than the selected partition and won't allow me to mirror the partitions. The partitions are exactly alike.
What do I do now?

Could you clarify a bit? which is the original? Better if you list device 0, 1, (and 2?) with thier partitions....

The original is device 0 and is 18 gigs with a 23.5 gig dos partition and a netware partition beginning on cylinder 3 and ending on cylinder 2230. It contains netware volumes sys and vol1. The netware partition is 17447 megabytes.

device 1 is 36 gig which is a duplicate of
device 0 with a 23.5 gig dos partition and a matching netware partition. It contains no volumes and it is 17447 megabytes. The rest of the drive is unpartitioned space.

device 2 is 36 gig blank disk.

I want to mirror device 1 to device 0 so that they become identical.
I then want to remove device 0 and mirror device 2 to device 1 so I always have a backup drive.

The DOS partition should be 23.5 megs not gigs.
