Novell 3.12 Server - Locking Up

Comment:
I am running a HP Netserver LS2/133 with Novell 3.12. I changed from thinline cable to cat 5. I installed a new 10/100 link system card along with the existing link system 16 thinline card.
The server can be accessed from work stations using either of the cables. The server locks up when we access the data base files from the cat 5 cable work stations.

I don't know if this is the problem, but when I tried upgrading a 3.12 network from thinnet to cat5, the new 10/100 cards and the old thin net cards could not co-exist on the network. The newer cards caused the old cards to go into "listen" mode and stay there, so it appeared to freeze. Try taking the thin net card out of the server, and just run the cat5 and see if that works.
