I was asked to install two printers on a Novell network running 3.12. No problem, except there is no nwadmin or pconsole client on the Novell server at all. It is a third generation hand me down server and it is just a single app server that needs these printers installed to function correctly.
I have looked in the SYS/Public and there is no WIN 32 folder. The user base is a mix of 98 to XP users and no, there is no NW client added any machine. The app is accessed by VM ware. Is there a way to reload the nwadmin client or the pconsole client without the 3.12 install disc? I have a 5.1 disc but I am not sure that will work.
Any suggestions would be very helpful!!

Oh wow, long time ago I used this very old netware version.
Form a workstation, login into the novell server as supervisor.
Then browse the sys:system.
The programs you need are DOS programs and can not run at the server console.
So at the workstation use the following programs to add printers a.s.o.PRINTCON.EXE
PRINTDEF.EXE
PCONSOLE.EXE

hello friend
u cant find nwadmin on 3.12 as it is not an NDS server. It is a bindery server and the prgm to admin it is called syscon. login from any og ur win98 machines with login script enabled so that the netware sys volume will be automatically mapped ..
u have the command Pconsole in netware 312 also ...it is in the public directory....run it from command prompt of ur xp or 98 and create printer . print server and print q and associate them ...on client side ur q will apear as the printer ..add driver for ur os ..and u r ready to rock
u cant use 5.1 cd for that purpose ...if u have any doubts about 3.12 go ahead ...let the mind be in charge than machines .
