Novell 2.7, Can't find Server & Tree?

I recently installed dos and win 3.1 on a computer. Then I installed novel client 2.7. I got the login box, but it doesn't find the tree or server. If you can help in any way please I need help!! Thanks a lot!!
do you have a net.cfg file on the machine that names a preferred server?

are you actually trying to log on to a server? if so you can type the whole address in the user field starting with a dot from the top of the tree down to your user name.. then put ya password in... go on try it no one will laugh at you if it goes wrong... honest
