Comment:
I am trying to install NW 5.1 and am running into a problem during the install. It asks for the network driver for my card (Linksys NC100). I downloaded the most recent driver (nw50) and gave it a shot. I get this error "The following driver instance failed to load and will be deleted: c:\nwupdate\nc100.lan FRAME=Ethernet_802.2 NAME=NC100_1_E82 (The device supported by this driver may be disabled.)"
I can't continue with the install until the driver is loaded. any ideas?? Thanks, -Ryan

It depends on how you are installing the NIC. During your install you should come to a screen that allows you to add a NIC driver not found in the install database. You should be able to follow the appropriate screen prompts and accomplish this. However, the driver you are using has to be the type that can be used by a NetWare server and it can't simply be one file, xxx.lan. There are several files that must be present to install the NIC driver properly to the server database. Try using the Knowledgebase support tab at novell.com
