I have a small LAN (3 machines) with 2 networked printers (HP deskjet and Laserjet) each attached to different machines on the LAN. Whenever the computer that the deskjet is booted the printer tries to print out ASCII junk twice (at an interval of about 2 mins). If the printer is switched off, a dialogue box appears twice telling me that it could not print.
Does anyone know why it spontaneously springs to life and how I can stop it?
