Hi everybody, I am a german guy who has some problems with his Novell 5.1 using the dhcp service.
We are Using a Novell Netware 5.1 Server with dhcp-service, the Clients are using 4.90 SP2 and the admins are using Zenworks 4.0 also.
The problem that occured is that we have a lot of traffic in our LAN and the responding times are 100-200ms. We found out, that if you go to "Start" -> "run" -> "cmd" -> route print that the Netip is missing. Íf we adjust it it works, but if we log off or restart the computer the additional entry gets lost and you have to enter the NetIP again by hand.
Did everybody of you ever had such Problems?
Or does everybody knows how to deal with this problem?
Thanks for your help!

You mised some importent information like:
1. Are you configured an SLP?
2. Are you working in a pure ip environment or in a IP/IPX.
Anyway, go to http://support.novell.com/cgi-bin/search/searchtid.cgi?/2908890.htm
You should find there a good explanation upon TROUBLESHOOTING TCP/IP COMMUNICATION ISSUES
