When various users try and update an existing word doc they get the msg "there is a network or file permission error.Network connection may have been lost"
Have tried various solutions suggested by microsoft but to no avail. Not much on Novell knowledge base either.

I'm seeing the same problem although I it did'nt start until our server was upgraded to Netware 5. I have tried multiple novell clients and tweaking file cache/commit settings in the client to no avail... This error also happen when people are trying to move/copy files in explorer // always on the same novell volume. Im still researching this.

I am having the same problem, if we rename the file, say by putting a 1 on the end it will save. Let me know if you find a fix, I have been looking for 4 months now. We are on Netware 5 with client 3.3 Thanks
