Ok now i know I am having a brain Fart here but i can not put my finger on this no matter how hard I try. I am trying to install netware4.11 on a AMD 350 with 192megs of ram and 2 6.4gig hard drives. Also connected to a Dlink DI604 router. Problem 1) I try to load the driver for the Linksys LNEPCI2 NIC and get an error msg that says can not load card no LAN or LI drivers found. Then I try the bind command. bind ipx to LNEPCI2 net=BADCAFE(out of the book) I then down the server and exit. Restart the server and let everything load. After all the screens i notice the following error. SRVINT can not load LNEPCI2_1_ES8 SYSINT can not load LNEPCI2_1_ES8. When I go into INETCFG it shows the NIC as being LINKSYS LNEPCI2_1_US* When I run Config it shows the IPX is bound to the LNEPCI2 net=0BADCAFE. Thinking all is well I load Client32.ver4.9 onto XP home..and try to serach the tree and server and find nothing. I then logon onto the Dlink site to check the status of the router to see if a request has been made from the server to an address...route stats show nothing..client also shows nothing...so right now I am at a loose. I have even tried to install NetWare5.1 and can't get past the drivers for the NIC. So can some one please jump start my brain. Thanks Brent

Are you sure it is XP Home? If yes then it can not connect to any network you will have to use Win9x, NT, 2K or XP Pro.

I zero'ed the hard drive and reinstalled NW4.11 and had NIC disk ready and my trusty CNE book...everything loaded as it shold. With the client32 i did a lame thing and went with a simple install..uninstalled client32 and did a custom in stall and pick IPX like everyone on here said..and poof i was connected. I should have staied with the KISS method of installing and the information i read here. Thanks for the reply
