Hello,

Our Netware v5.1 Server is currently running at 1/2 Duplex. We want to change this to Full Duplex. Does anyone know what the best method is for doing this ?

Thanks in Advance

Steve.

From the server console, type "inetcfg".
If INETCFG has never been run before, you'll
get a message advising that some LOAD commands
must be copied from AUTOEXEC.NCF. Say OK.
You *may* get a message telling you that the
server must now be restarted. Say OK.
When the server comes back up, run INETCFG again.
You should get a menu that lists BOARDS, NETWORK
INTERFACES, WAN CALL DIRECTORY etc. Highlight
BOARDS and hit . The server NIC should show up
in the window. Hit again. The card settings
will be displayed. There should be a line that
says "Duplex mode" or similar. Exactly what you
see will depend on the type of card. With an Intel
E100-type card, it will say "Force Duplex" and the
options are "0" (auto), "1" (force half), and "2"
(force full). After you've made the change, all
the way out to the server console prompt, then type
REINITIALIZE SYSTEM. Check the switch to make sure
it reports a full-duplex connection.

HTH
