Netware Client 4.8 not redirectoing Desk

Hi, I'm working at a client who have a need to have files created on the desktop to be opened/created directly from the users' home drive instead of the local version of the users' profile.
To do this, we have settings made using policies to point the desktop to their home drive.
This used to work with the previous version of the client but it doesn't with v4.8. With 4.8 it ignores any of the policy settings and uses the local copy of the profile instead. Has anyone else seen this and more importantly have you worked out a way to fix it?
