Does anyone know why Windows XP maps network drive F to SYS?
Previous versions of Windows didn't do this.
I want to keep drive F free for local drives.Organization login script:
PCCOMPATIBLE
MAP DISPLAY OFF
NO_DEFAULT
MAP G:=SYS:
MAP J:=APE:
MAP P:=SAL:MAP ROOT H:=APE:HOME/%LOGIN_NAME
MAP INS S12:=SYS:PUBLIC
MAP INS S14:=SYS:PUBLIC/DOS
MAP INS S15:=SYS:PUBLIC/NLS
MAP INS S16:=SYS:MAIL_SYS/PMAILMAP DISPLAY ON
DRIVE G:
User Login Script:
EXIT

Is this true for someone who has a local or otherwise used F: designation?Look in the novell client properties. Im using 4.9x so your mileage may vary some.
Look for the Client tab, and look for First Network drive. Change this to whatever you want (and based on your login script, I would suggest H:). You can probably set this in a GP.Rob

Rob, thanks.
Actually, I already have first network drive set to G. I'll try H.
I've also established that it's not Windows that is mapping drive F, but the email client Pegasus Mail. When Pegasus loads, drive F appears in My Computer. Having said this, I've not seen the same behaviour in older versions of Windows.
