Hi, I have a Netware 6.5 Server. I have 10 computers networked to the server. There is also a Linksys Router provinding Comcast Cable Internet. Can someone help me to setup remote access to the server? The IP Address from the cable company is dyanmic and I am unable to get a static IP. However, I have a domain name and dns service. I would like to be able to access my files while away from the computer by typing in my servername.mydomain.com. Please, someone help. Thank you.

a dns name without a static ip address is virtually useless, it has to be entered into your isp's dns database linking it to a ip address. Since you are using cable mdm and you have a static ip address, to a reverse look up using your ip address, you can come up with dns name you isp assigned to you. I am on cable mdm as well, my dns is cpexxx-cmxxx.isp.com, ip address does change, but this dns name doesnt, I dont know too much about novell remote access, but if you just want to get to your router from anywhere, this should help, anything beyond your router like port forwarding, server service port is totally up to your expertise:)
