hi there,
we are thinking of replacing our old box which is running NW6 with GroupWise 6. The new box will have NW 6.5 and GroupWise 7.
does anyone know have any quick pointers as to how this hardware migration and version upgrade can be done?

Don't do a migration.
Just install a new NW65 box.
Then copy the entire GrpWise structure to the new server. Close all agents before you copy and make sure clients are not accessing your system using mapped drive.
Install the old 6.5 agents again from your Agents directory, Use Console One to modify paths and IP addresses for POA and MTA.
Then upgrade to GW 7.
If something fails you will have your old system intact.
