I have a netware 4.11 system, and I am don't know much about netware.
I am trying to copy the old hard drive to a new hard drive.
can someone tell me how the partition a netware hard drive and do a mirror? (step by step if possible)
thanks a lot!

you have two options, basically.
1. Use Portlock Storage Manager for Netware. There's a trial version you can use. You install it on your existing server and it can create an image of the old HDD and transfer it to the new one.
2. Set up Netware 4.11 anew on the new harddrive and then copy over the data. I can't remember but Netware 4.11 may have an upgrade option when it detects an existing netware installation on the dos partition (you would have both harddrives installed) - and then you'll be allowed to keep all the drivers and system information.

thank you for the reply, I will try the 2nd option when I get a netware book.
However, I've been able to clone the old hard drive to a new one using ghost 7.x.now the question is how do I configure the nic
for the new machine?

You can do this manually in the autoexec.ncf, if you never used INETCFG.
Then restart the server. If your NICs have been configured by using INETCFG, simply go to the server console and type in INETCFG to configure or reconfigure your NICs.

can someone give me more detail how to setup the nic? do I need the nic driver for netware?
o/t question: I am using netware 4.11 + paradox 5.0 on windows 98, is it possible to replace the netware server with a linux server?

I'm begining user of netware and i have a question how i can change name of tree and server IP when I already install operaiting system.
