Hi,
I have been asked by my boss to install netware 3.12 on a workstation and I know little or next to nothing about it. Have been reading loads of manuals etc but I have got really stuck on sorting out the LAN driver on the dell optiplex gx150 which I think as afar as I can tell has a 3com905 integrated network adapter. Can ayone tell me if this is a NExxxxx compliant card or do i have to get drivers from 3com? I did find some drivers from 3com but i am having troubles installing them as it says there are cablelink problems. The way i have installed netware is... created a dos partition with dos 5.0 on then installed netware and created a second partition using the load install command and various menus in netware etc. Anyone got any tips on this. It is beconing a nightmare and i have only just started here :-(

Hi,
if there is a 3Com card in your computer, it's definately not NExxx compliant. You have to get the driver from 3Com's web site. When you extract the driver file, you should see a folder named NWSERVER. That's what you need. But, If you're not sure, what card is in your computer, open the case and take a look at it.
