I am wanting to update a Netware 3.12 server from a 5 user licence to a 10 user licence, what I am want to know is how do I add the user licence, do I need to go through a full install again or can I just add the licence disk, and if so is this done through a workstation? my only experience with Netware is an evaluation installation of Netware 5 which is running OK. Am I correct in thinking that whilst Netware 5 can be administered from the server console all previous additions are done through a workstation. I have a book / manual on Netware 4 that is very detailed but does not seem to explain how to add an upgrade licence.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Pete

With Windows NT, when you are purchasing the software, it becomes different when you want to use it for a network. The Nt network software and other similar NOS, are purchased at different prices depending on the number of users who intend to use the software. So for instance, if you Network 10 people and I network 75. You might have to purchase the license for a network of 10 and I might purchase the one for say 100 as Novell may not be selling for 75 users. So probably, Novell might have a license for 50 users and then a 100.

Are you looking for a 25 user license disk or do you already have one?
I may have several 25, 50, 100 user licenses still available in my storage room.Thanks....
