Comment: HI Im having 80 clients and 2 servers,one of my Server(Authentication Server)is Novell 3.12 and other one is Nt server whic is used as DHCP & Proxy.and my clients are using Xp,Win98 OS
MY problem is one of my user is getting error " You cannot be authenticated on server due to following resons:A connection to the server cannot be made , Do you want to select another preferred server" while login , but if im relogin without restarting user is able to log with same username and password ,this problem happens only when i restart or Shutdown my pc, and i tried in different Xp pc with same username but same this is happening on that XP PC also.Im having 250 user licence.. Plz help me out in this issue

Reply: (edit)Need more information: The user getting the error message. What OS is he/she using? What patches is on the 3.12/Winnt servers. Does the Windows NT server have an account on the 3.12 box? If you are authenticating with a 3.12 server and a Winnt 4.0 server you may have a conflict.
Also, check the easy stuff like rights and password expiration.
