I moved the server to a new subnet. I changed the IP address of the server in four different files. It took me forever to find those files on Novells website. If you know of any files that contain the servers IP address let me know. Also how do I tell the server that the IP address of another server in the tree has changed. Also I can only log in if I put the IP address of the server in login box that asks for the name of the server. Sometimes I think this operating system was set up weird.

Server IP's are kept in NDS. You might have to run a dsrepair - see http://support.novell.com/cgi-bin/search/searchtid.cgi?/10013487.htm for details.

Also look at "How to change the IP address on a server and move it to a different subnet." - http://support.novell.com/cgi-bin/search/searchtid.cgi?/10062053.htm

If you are trying to log into a Netware server
in a "pure ip" enviroment, you need to setup your network with Netware SLP services or setup your clients to use DNS for Netware name resolution. There are TIDS on Novell's support site that can help you with this.
