Hi All, I am having old system having novell ver 4.10. Recently the system is not working properly & there is Abend: Page Fault error after 5-10 Mins of startup. Due to above error I am unable to connect to Novell Server. Now I want to Connect this Novell Hard Disk to Windows & copy the Data from Novell Volumes to Windows. Is there any utility/Drivers through which I can open the Novell Volumes in windows ? Regards Ravi Modi Ravi Modi

Why don't you check, what causes the page fault on the novell server? At the console prompt of the server, you'll see a error number that can be used to search the FAQ on the novell support page. One of the most reasons, why getting a page fault is, when there is antivirus (Symantec, McAfee a.s.o.) running at the server. Mostly during auto update of the antivirus and the antivirus prcess gets restarted, you'll get a page fault. Please send a reply, if you solved the problem !!!

I have not installed any antivirus or any changes in software. There was some motherboard fault, due to which the server used to hang up. I have now repaired the motherboard but the abend error is still there. The abend error message error no. is 000000. I have searched the internet but there is no specific cause for error. If I keep the system Idle there is no error, but the moment I try to connect the server or try to access the volumes, I get error. I have found temporary solution. I have connected another hard disk in server & have installed Norton Commander NLM for novell. Now slowly I am copying the data from novell volumes to new hard disk on the server. I am getting about 5 mins to copy the data before the abend error pops up. I have managed to copy around 50% of data in this manner & hope to copy all the data to secondary hard disk. Although this method is taking time ( since I have to restart the server after every abend message) but there is some progress. Ravi Modi Ravi Modi
