I don't know why you are using the NDIS drivers to attach to a Novell network. You should be using the Novell client with either the VLMs or the newer 32bit client for DOS/Windows 3.x. I suspect that if you configure this way, and delete the NDIS driver, your problem will go away. See Novell's site for the client software. You will still need the NIC driver disk for the NIC card you have installed, specifically for Novell networks.

So this is a driver for the Novell network? I have encountered this identical error, but the computer is NOT on a Novell network (or any network for that matter) and does not have a NIC card, but a 56K modem. The OS is Windows 98.
What do I need to delete to make it go away?
Is it still a NDIS driver delete to make it go away?
I am sorry if this is a stupid question, but I just want to make sure before I delete something.

We've got the same problem. Get the evil message that says: "Microsoft Workgroups ODI/NDIS3 MAPPER VERSION 2.0
Error: Cannot find LSL
ODI/NDIS3 MAPPER: INITIALIZATION FAILURE
Any suggestions how I might solve this problem?
We are running Windows 98 on a Compaq Presario

It says press any key to continue then will not boot into Windows -- SOMETIMES -- and sometimes it will.

We are connected to the internet with a cable modem and network and all this happened after trying to get the computer to see the router (and now it is connecting passively through the router, but we cannot configure it to see the other computers.) Any suggestions appreciated. Did deleting all the drivers work for anybody?

My printer is a HP Deskjet 722C. Any help appreciated. Please reply.

I am getting the same message:

Microsoft WorkGroups ODI/NDIS3 Mapper Version 2.0
Error:Cannot find LSL
ODI/NDIS3 Mapper: Initialization Failure

On a Packard Bell Pulsar 600, running Windows 98.

I tried to delete the drivers from network adapters in safe mode, but the pc got stuck in a loop when trying to load windows.

I ended up booting to command prompt only and running setup from C:\WINDOWS\OPTIONS\CABS.
