Mapped Drive disappears occasionally

Hello there!
I have a user1 (running NT 4) who has a mapped drive pointing at a directory on another workstation(also NT 4). I lose the mapped drive 4 to 5 times a month. The mapping is done thru a log-in script. The solution would be to go to the workstation with the network share, log in as admin, and reset the password for the user1. This usually restores access to the mapped drive.
The network is running Netware 5.1. Can you tell me what is going on? I am new to Netware. Does it have to do with Netware? Or is it a problem with NT?
I am only a help desk person. The network guys at work are not helpful and ignoring my emails. Thanks a million.

I would verify which version of the netware client the user was using. If it is anything less than NWclient 4.83, I would update the client. You can get it at the following:
http://support.novell.com/
If they are using this latest netware client, I would look for any mapping conflicts from both the NT and NetWare systems. Good luck.

Hi Doug, Thanks for your reply. I will upgrade the client as you suggested.
Could you elaborate on "mapping conflicts from both the NT and NetWare systems"? As I said before, I know little about Netware. Do you mean conflicts between drives mapped to NT shares and Netware volumes?
