No Magnet, never face value. Pretty much the answer that GTB gave. An administrator just needs an account with very minimal rights in order to get back into a Server. And the account is hidden in the tree. And as GTB stated, that is pretty much Networking 101.

Don't worry your not the 1st person this has happened to, my new client that I am visiting tomorrow had a frustrated employee that took off and they were the only one that new the Admin password.
