Hello
I am learning and preparing for CNA exam and practicing login scripts. I have made several OUs under my experimental tree. The problem is that the login script that is for the parent Organizational Unit "O" is not being run by the login.exe. I have several map statement based on group membership using IF and THEN statements in the parent container while the user is in the child container. The child container login scripts has the NO_DEFAULT statement.
I gave the child container read rights to the login script of the parent container yet the when I login as a user the INCLUDE statement is not running the parent container login script. I tried many times but so far I can not run the parent login script. What am I overlooking? Please help.

You need explain the exact commands and tree structure for me to help you. I am not sure how you are giving rights to a sub folder to a login script? Could you explain how you are doing this?
Cheers
Mike

Hello Mhesse,
Thank you for your reply. In response I would like to add the following.
The Tree is simple, one server tree, with 3 sub containers. The subcontainers are trustees of the organizational container and I unchecked all properties and gave read rights to the login script. The command I am trying to run is for ex.
IF member of ABC.East.Acme THEN
Map h: = vol1:home
ENDIF member of BZC.Central.Acme THEN
Map h: = vol1:home
Map T: = vol1:apps
END

Did you change NDS object rights or file/direcory rights? The users must have a minimum of Read and File scan to be able to map a drive. On NDS objects you should leave the defaults which is to give the Public browse rights to the whole tree. You generally block access with Inheritance Filters.
Cheers
Mike
