Customer has an ISP supplied router with NAT enabled on the following ports as per Novell doc 10013531 - TCP/UDP 524, UDP 123, TCP/UDP 427, TCP 2303, UDP 2645.
If I dial the internet I can ping the router address but if I try to connect to the router's address via a Netware client (ie in the server name box at the login prompt put in the router address) I am not getting access to the server. Should this work or is there more configuration required ??
On the LAN, the Netware server can ping past the router so default gateway etc is OK on the server. The server only has one network card (10.0.0.250) and, as I mentioned, NAT appears to be set to translate the above ports to the address of the server (10.0.0.250).

Sounds like you are trying to setup a VPN or something. Unless that server behind the router has a public address, which I hope it doesn't, you won't be able to access it. Even with NAT. NAT works from the inside getting out to the internet, not from the outside in.
yea your server needs to be in the firewalls DMZ with a static internet address. Or a static nat address linked to a real ip address with the appropriate ports open.

If you're not worried about security, Make a 1 to 1 NAT translation for the login server. You'll also need to put a static address of the slpda in the client.
