Part of our network is located in a separate site from our main office. The sites are connected over a T1 line. When users in the remote site boot their computers, the Novell login screen will only appear about half the time. If the users run the Novell login manually, they can login without any problem.

We put the login into the Startup menu and turned off Novell as the primary login, but now the computers try to login to GroupWise before NDS. Since we use NDS to authenticate for GroupWise, this causes the GroupWise login to fail.

I suspect that there is a timeout for how long the server has to respond during the boot process. Sometimes the server responds in time and sometimes it doesn't. If I'm right, can someone tell me where to find this timeout so I can increase it.

If I'm wrong, does anyone know why this is occuring.
