I just put up a new NW6 server and am having problems with slow (very slow) response from the server using IP. If I unbind ip and bind IPX then everything works fine.
I have tried different NICs, different slots on the server, different ports on the switch stack, set everything to 100\full and tried the fixes in TID 10017530, 10022481, and 10016506. So far nothing has worked. I'm running IPX until I get the figured out.
The problem occurs only on this server. The workstations are able to otherwise access the Internet and other servers with no slowdown.
Any ideas appreciated.

Jeb,
Ive seen slow initial response time on XP machines. After the initial wait time I was able to transfer files at a resonable rate.
If your problem is initial reponse time two things can be done to resolve this problem. Alternative 1 remove client for MS & File and print sharing in network settings on the workstation. Alternative 2 install the new 4.9 client. Both should solve that problem.
if your experiencing file transfer slowdowns. monitor the server to make sure its not spikeing processing time (caused by file decompression).
without rambling on, would you provide some more info so I can help more...
