IP Conflict with itself

We are getting "duplicate ip address" errors on our Netware 5.1 server, saying it has an IP conflict with itself. We just added a new application to the network, as well as 3 new Cisco switches, when this problem appeared. We have chgd duplex mode on the server NIC, disabled NAT and ARP, and updated the network driver, with no luck. The IP number is static. Any other suggestions?

do those cisco switches have IP addresses assigned?
when the server is off, can you still ping that IP address?

The switches have static IP addresses. And when we cut the server off, we can NOT ping that address.

If you try to change your IP adress to something completly diffrent but still yet a validated adress for your network what happens? Sometimes it can be as simple as two networkcards, one built in and one you added your'e self and during maintanace slipped the networkcable into the wrong adapter.long shot but is known to happen.
