How to use Novell 3.12 Server Manager Utility

Hi, I am kind of new to Novell. We've got an error on the server "Station x record lock threshold exceeded. Violation ####" Anyway, Novell Doc says to increase the number of record locks either in Startup.ncf or Servman.nlm. Can someone help me with either function? My question is which one is better - set the parameters in startup.ncf or load servman.nlm? How do you use the Server Manager Utility to set it. How do you change the number of record locking permanently on Netware 3.12?

Use the Startup.ncf as this file is executed after dos but before the server becomes a 'server'.

make sure to change the startup.ncf from the dos partion. down the server then edit the startup.ncf if you type the command set at the console when the server is running you will see the set command option list. these changes can cause problems so back up the file first. good luck
