How to Connect Novell and Linux

hello how can I connect/attach novell3.12 server & linux 8.0 server? the Linux 8.0 server just added. But the clients only can access to Novell but not Linux Server? How to make them "Talk" ? Pls help!!!!

If you have Windows clients, you could use Samba on your Linux server, your clients would see the Linux server as a Windows NT server. Look at www.samba.org Regards, Rob.

NetWare 3.12 uses IPX/SPX as the LAN protocol; Linux can use either IPX/SPX or IP depending on how you set up the server. You could try binding IPX to your Linux server's NIC. If you are running Ethernet cabling, the frame type is 802.3 for NetWare 3.12. Alternately you could do as the first post suggested and simply add TCP/IP to the NIC on your clients and access the Linux server via the Samba client.
