If you'll install client 4.9 SP1 you will get the option of the stickey "workstation only" option which mean that marking "workstation only" remains allways until you unmark it.
This gives you the option not to login into the netware and login only to your Windows xp workstation without uninstalling the netware.
Anyway, if you want to uninstall the Novell client read the documentation at:
http://support.novell.com/cgi-bin/search/searchtid.cgi?/10013922.htm
good luck

Change the GinaDLL value:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\WinLogon
Under this key exists a string value named "GinaDLL".
Edit this entry from "NWGINA.DLL" to "MSGINA.DLL".

-- i tried that.. but i cant find GinaDLL... can someone help me? i just want to make it so i can get my welcome screen back please help nothing everyone says seems to work like remove it from the network connections.. none of them have novell to uninstall can someone help ?
