Some files and folders have been deleted from our Novell server. We tried to get it back with Salvage, but we only got back the three structure with the directories NOT THE FILES! How can we recover the files? Is there a program to get them back?

try salvaging from the deleted.sav directory, if you del a folder it will usually sit in there untill purged. Hope that helps.

I think salvage restores in increments...First directories..then files..try salvage again after..now that you have restored the directories....Where's your backups...this could be the next step

Summary: yes, log in as admin and right click on the folder that the file was deleted from, and select "salvage files"... you will need the Novell Client on your workstation....
