Q.1
In our office, we r using Financial accounting package made in Foxpro 2.5 for dos. In that while executing dos commands from inside the program, in certain computers, it is giving out error message:-
"Invalid command.com ....enter correct name of command interpreter(e.g command.com)"
What could be the problem?. The entire program is running in Novell Netware 3.12 version and all nodes r connected to this novell server. All nodes also have hard disk and win 95 / win 98 instaled in that.
Q.2
In my novell server mchine, after 5 mins of idle time , monitor automatically goes blank. when I press any keys, it comes back like scrren saver. i want to remove this screen saver. how to remove that?

Dear Mr. Stephen Goossens,
I am using Win 95 in som machines and Win 98 in some machines. All these machines r connected to novell netware 3.12 and Accounting package is installed in novell netware and mapped to the nodes.

1)
Set the variabele COMSPEC in your autoexec.bat to the correct version of command.com:SET COMSPEC=C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND.COM
2)
The screensaver is on the console of your server. In Novell 6 you can turn it of with the command:
SCRSAVER DISABLE
I'm not sure if Novell 3.12 has a standard screensaver. If the above command doesn't work there is probably a screensaver installed from a third party. This must then be loaded in the AUTOEXEC.NCF.
You should find a load there.Stephen

Down the server and bring it back up using the switch -ns i.e. Server -ns and the screensaver will not load.

Dear jiv,
Thanx for your reply. How to do that switch -ns. When I down the server and start it, it automatically loads all the volumes. how to turn on using switch -ns
pls help

Edit the AutoExec.bat file. It will contain a line with the command:
SERVER
make that
SERVER -NSThat's all.
